When doom befell, and faded all bright
As my whole world came crashing down
My earth so sudden, ripped from beneath
And I watched in silence my life slip away
It seems like a lifetime ago
When from the heavens, a dagger fell
And hit the most precious of hearts
How desperately in vain, I tried to heal the wound
My heart broke a million pieces, as you lay dying in my arms
It seems like a lifetime ago
I closed my eyes, for I couldn’t bear the ache
Your lifeless body, the stains and silence
To watch you being torn apart in the hands of death
And I still see myself reaching out to hold your hand
It seems like a lifetime ago
When you fell into that eternal sleep, never to be waken
And as long as I live I shall regret, my helplessness
For not reaching on time, for taking things for granted
How sorry I am baby, for the time you suffered in my absence
It seems like a lifetime ago
That everything suddenly became so meaningless
Frozen I stood, as brightness passed into oblivion
With an array of blackness as my only comfort
I collapsed beside your grave to cry for the last time
It seems like a lifetime ago
When death separated you and me
Yet I know we live in each other still
For, it’s the thought of you that still lightens my day
Your love and comfort, for me remain immortal
It seems like a lifetime ago
Yet the memories remain so alive
The crazy things you did, the thrills of insanity
Those walks in the rain, the wild wild quests
The way you hold me close, the madness of it all
Yes, it seems like a lifetime ago
And yet I feel your presence all around me
Now I know, death can never really kill us
That love and friendship is a world beyond worlds
And that something’s can, in no way be broken, not even by fate
